SIMON SANDIN

Simon Sandin is an accomplished VFX Supervisor with over 10 years of experience in the field of visual effects, he currently works at ShortCut.

His keen eye for detail and creative problem-solving abilities has made Simon a household name in the Scandinavian VFX industry. He’s worked on such titles as “Black Crab”, “See” and “The Rain”, and with an innate ability to bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical implementation, Simon has earned a reputation for delivering stunning visual effects that seamlessly integrate into the storytelling process.

His work on the original Netflix feature “Black Crab” garnered critical acclaim and let to him receiving the Swedish Film Award, Guldbagge, for Best Visual Effects. As a native Swede receiving the official Swedish film award marked a highlight in Simon’s career.

His journey began at the Campus i12 University where he studied to become a VFX Compositor. Through his work as a compositor Simon earned the rank of Supervisor with the task of overseeing the entire VFX process including on-set supervision until the final frame has been delivered in post-production.

Simon is known for fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment, empowering his team to push the boundaries of visual effects and deliver exceptional results.
