A concept artist working in the UK with more than 10 years of industry experience. Currently working at That’s No Moon as an Expert Character Concept Artist.

Specializing in character design, David also works in all areas of concept art production including environments, assets/props and vehicles.

Having worked on a variety of projects ranging from games, animation and feature films, previously he has also worked on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, XDefiant, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, Love, Death+Robots Season 1 and 2, Bloodshot, Kong: Skull Island, Spider-Man (PS4), Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Ashes of Creation and a bunch of currently unannounced projects.

What attracted you to KIND OF ART?

“KIND OF ART is going to be a massive creative hub. Two days filled with passionate speakers talking about their experiences and sharing their skills. A shared space attended with industry veterans and the next wave of talent entering the industry. The sense of community at Kind of Art is fantastic and being asked to contribute to that is an opportunity I wouldn't want to miss!”

What are you looking forward to at KOA?

“I really hope it gives newer artists breaking into the industry an opportunity to see what really happens and also to inspire them. To form connections and for the speakers to talk openly and honestly about how to help them. And for the speakers and industry vets, give them an opportunity to learn from one another and push the industry forward.”

Thoughts on Convergence?

“The idea of convergence is an interesting one as we've already seen many examples of media blending and merging together between games, film, TV etc. And as an industry, I think this is only going to become more common. So highlighting this and thinking about how we can move forward with this theme is quite an interesting one.”
